hello and welcome!

The healing path is courageous and worthwhile.  Whether you’re seeking therapy for the first time or are looking to return to it, I truly honor that wish to heal, grow, and reconnect to your true essence.

Psychology has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  Even as a child, I was curious about people, family, culture, and in my own ways challenged gender roles and expectations.  This inherent curiosity has been a continuous thread through my work as a licensed clinical psychologist, helping people navigate life’s challenges and uncover their innate capacity for healing and growth.

As a trauma-informed and social justice-minded therapist, I am committed to working through the lens of compassion and equity. I strive to honor each person’s unique story, culture, and identity while recognizing the larger systemic forces that shape our experiences. In light of these forces, we can work towards exploring and understanding the creative ways in which we’ve learned to navigate challenges, rather than pathologizing them. Seeing things from different perspectives provides us with the necessary space to recognize and explore choices that better align with our true selves and the way of living that we envision for ourselves.

approach

My therapeutic approach is grounded in curiosity, care, and collaboration.  The most important element in the therapeutic process is the relationship – we can acknowledge what we’re feeling and become familiar with what holds us back only in a space that is nonjudemental, where there is a sense of safety and trust.

My practice is deeply informed by somatic therapies (trauma resiliency model), mindfulness-based approaches, attachment theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Choosing therapeutic modalities has been both a personal and professional journey for me – influenced by science, relational culture values, and the significant benefits I have experienced in my own life through these specific interventions.

I believe in addressing the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – so that true healing can emerge from within, through gentle awareness, honesty, and acceptance. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your inner and relational world.
